Weekend Inspiration!

Sometimes just knowing you have the next three days to be creative is enough inspiration to get a bunch of projects done. But when you originally thought you'd be working at your day job during those 3 days, and then work your butt off to at least try and have one of those days off, it comes as a welcomed relief when you realize you've worked hard enough to have all 3 days off instead. But making the most of any time off is really what counts. That being said, in the last 24 hours I've finished 8 colored illustrations for a book and 2 acrylic paintings for my series "The Order of Trees". Here's a peak at the finished paintings:

Little Trees, Big Trees

This time, the egg came first. The mini-sized 2"x3" block paintings created for my Art-O-Mat series "Little Bits Trees" have come around again, this time with a few more pastel colors for backgrounds and some with the subtraction of the tree roots and addition of a grassy knoll. Here's the newest batch of 50.

There were a few I particularly enjoyed, and took pictures of them individually for future reference. Little did I know the future would be within 24 hours of showing them to friends. As a result, 2 larger-scale versions of the minis were painted and added to my series "The Order of Trees". One of them will be chosen for a new home, and the other will be added to my list of paintings for sale.

If you enjoy any of the mini trees and would like one painted on a larger scale, drop me a line. I'm happy to paint special requests!
